Sharing this hoof care rehabilitation report from Australia. With permission from Amanda Ashgrove Equestrian Services.  It is great to see this transformation in such a short period of time!

A little post to show the massive changes achieved already in just two trims in 5 weeks on horse F.

Horse F is an endurance horse, who was on a regular 6 week shoeing cycle up to my visit on oct 28th.

Horse F displayed the following Problems on that visit:

✳️ Long Toes
✳️ underrun heels
✳️white line disease
✳️ weak crumbling walls with seedy toe prevailing
✳️ Negative Palmer Angles (extreme in hind feet)
✳️ Thrush
✳️ Stretched distorted hoof capsule with a weak frog
✳️ Flares
✳️Bullnose on hind feet
✳️ “Goat on a rock” camped under stance
✳️ High/Low syndrome in front feet

hoof care rehabilitation with Renegade Pro Comp Glue On Hoof Boots✳️owner reported F was tripping constantly, reluctant to go forward, scrambling in float, had body soreness issues and was generally weak on near side.

✳️On 1st visit- 28/10/20 We removed the steel shoes, trimmed the foot to reduce/shorten the toe and address negative angles in P3, brought heels back level with back of frog, beveled her walls to address white line and separation issues, treated for thrush, and fitted her with Renegade Glue on Shells, we also made recommendations for hoof supplements.

✳️ 2/12/20 – Second Visit. – remove glue on shells, trim feet, again reduced the toe, backing to white line and beveling, rolled walls on rest of hoof and slightly touched heels to maintain their position in line with frog without reducing height. In High foot, reduced heels to comfortable level. Noted horse was no longer standing camped under, now naturally finding a more balanced relaxed stance. Sharp bevel on toe in hind feet with negative HPA, all four hooves treated with hoof armor to further address white line disease and last of thrush still present, and to provide more support for hoof walks as they strengthen and thicken. A pour in heel wedge pad was added to the low NS front foot to provide further heel and back of foot support on her weaker side, and to further offer stability to the foot in order to facilitate and maintain heel first landings and encourage heel growth. Re apply Renegade Glue on Shells.

hoof care rehabilitation with Renegade Pro Comp Glue On Hoof Boots🏇🏻🏇🏻 Owner reported: during past five weeks training rides, F is no longer tripping, no longer hitting (forging) her front legs with her hinds ( previously always had to be booted for protection), is moving forward more easily, scrambling in float has disappeared, is standing much more relaxed and comfortable.

🐎 We are so very happy with the major changes already in just two visits and a five week period with this horse!
There’s so so much yet to work on, but these changes already as so exciting 🥰🥰👏👏👏
