Renegades once again won the 50-mile Land of the Sun endurance race held in Wickenburg, AZ. This year, both the first and second-place finishers were in Renegades, and rode into the finish together in a friendly race for the win.
Linda Morelli and her Arabian gelding ‘FALLING LEAF’ were declared the winner, with Michelle Mueller and her mount ‘ZARR’ (owned by Kirt and Gina Lander and trained by Michelle) taking second place.
Michelle Mueller riding her Arabian gelding Sky Bask won this event last year.
Does any doubt yet remain that the booted barefoot horse can perform to the top levels of endurance competition? Notice the non-booted horse in the background trying to chase them down…without success.
