Karen Chaton was one of our riders who rode Tevis this year in strap-on Renegade® Hoof Boots and finished in 23rd place!

Check out her initial write-up about Tevis on her blog here: Karen’s Musings and Endurance Ride Stuff: Tevis 2012 — It’s Over and WE HAD FUN!

Karen has some great pictures up, including her Cougar Rock photo! Congratulations to Karen and Bo for a great Tevis finish this year!

Here’s an excerpt from her blog write-up that directly pertains to her use of Renegades at this year’s Tevis:

This year I decided to give the strap-on Renegades a go, and they worked out really well.  Bo has now completed two one day 100′s this season using these strap on boots, plus nearly a thousand miles of competition.  He is rock solid (knocking on wood) on his feet and these boots certainly contribute to keeping him feeling so good.  The best part is that we didn’t have to mess with gluing boots and boot removal was a piece of cake when the ride was over.  I posted photos on FB showing that there were no rubs or sores.  These boots just WORK, and without the need to use tools, wraps, tapes or a lot of effort to put on and remove.  I can’t say enough good things about them or the company that makes them — and to top it off, Renegades are Made in the USA!
