Chief with his Sport Orange Renegades

Another ride report from Karen Chaton:

This past weekend was the three day Color Country Pioneer ride. I rode my two horses, Granite Chief and Pro Bono, 155 miles – Bo did days 1 and 3 using Renegade® glue-ons and Chief did day 2 using a combination of the Renegade® strap-ons and the Renegade® glue-ons.

The glue-ons are still on the horses’ hooves. I’ll take Bo’s off today and Chief’s after the High Desert ride this coming weekend. The glue-ons are really nice for the horses, especially the multidays. They are light weight, low profile and the horses both move really well in them.

I have to say though, that even as nice as the glue-ons are, I really like the strap-on boots. I wanted to share these photos of Chief after he did his 50 on Saturday. I put the strap-ons on him in the morning and never touched them once all day. I was VERY impressed when I took them off after finishing that day to find them so clean. I expected there to be some sand in there, especially since we went through quite a bit of wet sand – usually it wants to cake up and slowly build up inside of the boots. I was pretty happy to see that even with all of the deep sand and mud and other stuff we went through that it all came out, leaving the boot just as clean inside when it came off as it was when I put it on! That is so cool!

Thanks,
K
